Writing the report is the easy part. Policepen gets it filed.
Officers have an app on their phone. After a job, they talk through what happened, right there in the car. Policepen writes the police report from that: the facts, the people and plates, and the narrative, every sentence tied to what the officer said. The officer checks it, fixes anything wrong, and signs. Along the way it asks the yes-or-no questions that decide what the state requires: use of force, a pursuit, a domestic, a crash.

Record
The officer tells the call on an iPhone or Android phone in the car, with or without signal. The audio stays encrypted on the phone until it uploads.
Confirm
Each time, name, plate and action comes back as a fact with its source. The officer confirms, fixes or rejects every one.
Review
The sergeant reads each sentence beside its fact and source, comments on the exact line, and signs that version.
File
Each filing has an owner and a clock. It stays open until the submission and its receipt are recorded.

The board
One board for the tour
Sergeants and the chief see every open filing for the tour: the rule behind it, who owns it and how long is left. Overdue filings rise to the top.

Roles
Who uses it
For chiefs
You answer for every report your department files and every one it misses. Policepen shows you both.
For officers
Talk through the job in the car. Confirm what Policepen heard. Sign. Go back in service.
For prosecutors
Discovery packets that arrive complete, show what is missing and why, and keep a record of every version you received.
Security
Built to the FBI CJIS Security Policy v6.1.
Two-step sign-in for every user, a separate encryption key for each agency, an audit record of every read and every change, and agency-managed phones only.
Demo
Walk one job through Policepen
The demo runs a synthetic pursuit with a firearm pointed: the facts the officer confirms, the filings it opens and their clocks, a CAD and recording time conflict, the RMS check and the chief's board. A second case shows the body-worn camera restriction.
